We perform precision spectroscopy in trapped ion Coulomb crystals. Recently, we have used Yb+ ions for the most stringent test of local Lorentz invariance [Dreissen et al, Nat Commun 13, 7314 (2022)] and operated our In+/Yb+optical clock at an evaluated systematic uncertainty of 2.5 x 10^-18 [Hausser et al, arXiv:2402.16807 (2024)]. We are looking for candidates interested in developing and implementing novel multi-ensemble clock protocols, quantum-enhanced spectroscopy methods and the use of optical clocks for precision tests of fundamental physics.
